DonoBrace® was developed by the team at Donovan Group. The catalyst for development of DonoBrace® happened on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, when a 6.3 earthquake devastated the South Island of New Zealand. In the aftermath, hundreds of Metal Buildings experienced massive failures, mostly due to inadequate bracing systems.
Brett Donovan and Head Engineer Kerry McCollum, set out to design a superior high-capacity bracing system with engineers and steel erectors in mind.
After years of feedback and testing from both engineers and erectors DonoBrace® was born in 2015. Today, DonoBrace® is installed on nearly 80% of all Metal Buildings erected in New Zealand.
